Juan H. Pujol President
Juan H. Pujol is the founder and President of JHP Enterprises, LLC (“JHP”), a boutique merchant bank. JHP provides management consulting and investment banking advisory services to Private Equity Investors, Hedge Funds, Corporations and Entrepreneurs in the United States, Latin America and Europe, with a strong expertise on the Spanish market. Mr. Pujol through JHP also acts as a principal in transactions. From April 2014 through February 2016 Mr. Pujol was one of the founders and Chairman of Alternative E. Management Partners, a unit of JHP, focused on acquiring alternative energy assets in Spain and Latin America exclusively for Cerberus. Mr. Pujol from June, 2007 to November, 2007 served as Interim CEO of Michael Bianco, Inc., a defense contractor which he restructured and sold. Mr. Pujol in 2005 and 2006 served as Advisor to Scowal Investments Partnership, L.P., a Private Equity group with $100 million under management, based in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Pujol from March, 1999 to December 2005 was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of JHP Entertainment, Ltd., a media and entertainment company focused on creating content for the Latin American market. From April 1998 through February 1999, Mr. Pujol served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Impact Holdings, Ltd. and J. Michael Bloom and Associates, Ltd., New York’s largest commercial talent agency. Before founding JHP Enterprises, LLC in 1988, Mr. Pujol had been employed for six years with Lloyds International Corporation, the merchant banking unit of Lloyds Bank Plc. in the U.S. where he managed their mergers and acquisitions group. Prior to that, he was employed at Bankers Trust for three years in varied capacities. Mr. Pujol graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Economic Geography, and from The Pennsylvania State University with a Masters in Business Administration in International Finance. Mr. Pujol was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. Mr. Pujol is a past member of The Association for Corporate Growth, the Latin Academy of the Recording Arts & Sciences and of the National Academy of the Recording Arts & Sciences. Mr. Pujol has also served as a Board Member of the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors. He acts currently as Chairman for US-based water engineering company SimpleWater, Inc.
SCOTT B. WALKEr Adviser
Scott B. Walker is currently the Managing Partner of Scowal Investments Partnership, L.P., a private equity fund he founded in 2005. From 1999 to 2008 Mr. Walker served as Chief Executive Officer of BillMatrix Corporation, an automated bill payment company employing both the Internet and the telephone. Mr. Walker grew the company from over a period to several years and sold the company to Fiserv in 2005 for $350 million. Prior to Billmatrix, Mr. Walker served as President of one2one Capital Corporation and Chief Financial Officer of one2one Learning Foundation from July 1998 to February 1999. Both groups operated as a not for profit 501 (c) (3) engaged in operating charter schools, providing individualized curriculum programs to children not currently enrolled in public or private schools. Mr. Walker remains involved with the one2one organization on a limited basis. Mr. Walker served as Chief Financial Officer for Precept Business Services, a $200 million public company, from August 1996 to July 1998 and Chief Financial Officer for DirectNet Corporation from 1995 to August 1996. Additionally, Mr. Walker previously served as Vice President in corporate finance with Lloyds Bank and GE Capital from 1984 to 1991 and Vice President with first Interstate Bank (now Wells Fargo Bank) from 1992 to 1995. Mr. Walker holds a Graduate Degree in International Finance from Thunderbird (American Graduate School of International Management – AGSIM).
John H. PUJOL Digital Marketing
John H. Pujol serves as adviser to JHPE in the areas of creative direction, product development and marketing. He received an MS in Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and a BS in Economics from Boston University. John has worked as an Associate at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, as a water finance Consulting Analyst for Carollo Engineers, and as an External-Consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank. He is currently employed by McDonald McGovern Engineers in San Francisco. In 2014, John founded SimpleWater, Inc, a water engineering company that sells advanced water testing kits and environmental health reporting to to American homeowners (mytapscore.com). In 2015 he co-founded NovelTeas, raising over $100K on Kickstarter to launch tea tins decorated like classic novels with organic teas that taste like their stories (novelteatins.com).
